Newcomer Mug Tourney: Bring a mug/cup/goblet for donation to the Newcomer Largess! Donations NOT NESSASARY to participate, but if a mug is brought for donation, fighter starts with bonus points awarded.
This will be a Challenge Tourney, with scoring tracked by poker chips.
White Chip = 3 points Marshal Peers (MoDs, knights, and Sitting Royalty)
Red Chip = 2 points GOA (OCV and Dons)
Blue Chip = 1 point All other fighters

Archery

On Saturday there will be a variety of fun novelty shoots, some open range time for individual practice, and an opportunity to shoot  the Society Seasonal Archery Challenge to have the archers’ scores reported for the SCA wide  contest. A more detailed schedule of exact times will be listed at the event.

Handmade Paper – Chiara da Tucci
Class may take 30 to 40 min depending on how many one wants to do. There will be focus on the historical significance and evolution in addition to making paper. Class is kid friendly. Participants size is max 10.

Absolute Beginner NaalbindingItta of Jararvellir
Naalbinding is a simple technology that can yield useful objects like hats, mittens, and socks, and has a broad time span of use! This will be an absolute introductory level, hands on, informal circle style class for anyone who has thought about learning naalbinding someday. We will discuss making a needle, choice of fiber, good first projects, and there will be a handout provided with an overview of historical examples and diagrams of simple stitches. Most of the class time will be spent learning the Oslo stitch. Needles and yarn to practice with will be provided and help will be on hand. Interested gentles can use the time to make their own needles with the provided historical-ish tools if desired. I will have a petting zoo of common beginner mistakes when starting a project and how to avoid them. Maximum class size 4. Adults Only.

Spiral OrnamentationQuinn of Falcon’s Keep
Spiral ornaments made from coiled wire and yarn were used to adorn garments during the Late Iron Age in Finland and Baltic region (Latvia and Estonia). This class is hands-on after a short lecture on history and uses. No fee. Class size limit 6. Age 12 and up (small metal pieces used.)

Bardic Activities
Daytime bardic will be happening. It will be at the 1-2pm. Near populace building. Hosted by Isabeau Dufay.
There is space available for evening bardic for those interested. Locations are marked on site map.
